OUR VISION
To realise the maximum potential of every student by :
1: Matching tuition to ability
2: Providing professional impartial guidance
3: Nurturing students self-confidence – “You can” not “You can’t”
4: Providing a non-threatening environment in which students can learn from their mistakes
OUR ETHICS
1: Despite the size of the school, LWAD practices a very personal approach to you or yours child's tuition needs. Teaching and support staff are always on hand, or can be contacted by telephone or email to discuss issues and provide practical professional advice and solutions.
2: LWAD actively encourages the progression of students through RAD, ISTD and IDTA examination grades. LWAD uses a variety of stage performances to enable students to demonstrate their abilities to a wider audience and give them experience of performing in public. We actively collaborate with other arts groups such as the Warwickshire County Youth Orchestra. Our performance group, Synergy, regulalry performs around Europe. Participation in any of these events is not mandatory.
3: All teachers of children's classes have been CRB checked.
4: In these difficult times parents and students may, by agreement with LWAD, pay fees by standing order over the term (normally in 3 monthly installments). In exceptional circumstances (for instance where the family is in receipt of jobseekers allowance or income support) LWAD will provide financial assistance with fee payment (please ask us for details).
5: LWAD has an inclusive policy towards children/adults with special needs (for instance we successfully teach children with Downs Syndrome). LWAD can usually accommodate your requirements.
6: LWAD has a hands-on policy to enable our staff to correct the posture where appropriate.
7: LWAD very occasionally will encourage students to participate in festivals.
